Can anyone tell me how to restore the bathroom’s wooden vanity unit and window frames and sills’ white patches?

The beautiful federation style bathroom in my newly rented premises has been treated quite roughly and there are several issues I would like to eradicate. I have tried rubbing in furniture oil and this has improved the state of the chipped and scratched vanity unit but the windows have white marks on the sills and frames. Is this water damage and can it easily and cheaply be restored or repaired?

Lightly sand the white marks on the sills and try the oil on it…then cover with a light paste wax..quick easy and inexpensive fix..or you can sand it down and refinish it properly..but that will be more time consuming.
