I’d be concerned about using just a towel. The shape of the kayak’s hull might not match up well with your roof. And even with the towel, tying the kayak more or less directly to the roof could dent it.

If you can’t spring for a rack, at least get some foam blocks. They’ll conform to the shape of the kayak a little better and will provide a little more cushioning between the kayak and the car. Make sure you secure the ends of the kayak by running ropes from the bow and stern to points near your car’s bumpers. There are kits that include the blocks and all the straps you’ll need. Also look at craigslist and local classifieds for used roof racks if you’re interested in getting one later on. Used racks can be pretty cheap, but you may have to be patient when looking for a rack that can specifically fit your car.

For your second question, it depends what type of look that you want to achieve, With a deep brown art deco, you will get away with almost any colour, white, black, orange with a tinted sheer, cream or even gold/black. Usually, if you have your bedsheets with one colour, buy a duvet the would blend with the bedsheets and the room as well. Over time, areas of your home will get run-down from continuous usage. One of these areas in your home that is especially subject to being run-down is your bathroom. However, you can remodel your bathroom to make it appear new and “unused” again.

What you can do to remodel your bathroom will depend on how large your budget is. Obviously, the more money you have to work with, the more you can do.

For those who can only spend a few hundred dollars on remaking your bathroom, you will have to learn to live with the molding, flooring, and plumbing. This includes the tiles on your walls and even on your bathtub and/or in your shower. If those parts are made up of bright and vivid colors, it’s better to add subtle accessories. When I moved into the apartment i am currently in, I HAD THE CLOTHES ON MY BACK and a computer, tv, towels, 4 glasses and cleaning supplies…. Big Cedar RV Park

Big Cedar is located between Winding Stair and Kiamichi mountains surrounding the Ouachita National Forest. It lies on the shadow of Talimena Scenic Drive. The park offers cabins, tent sites and RV hookups in the Kiamichi River valley.

This park has three new and fully furnished cabins for rent. It can sleep six and four persons. Two larger cabins have full kitchens and another three have private baths. Cabin amenities include a picnic table and a barbeque grill. It also provides modern amenities like coin-operated laundry, cable and Wi-fi. Cabin rates cost about $65 to $75 per night with tax.

RV camp sites have full services of water and electricity. Reserved spaces have full access to bathhouse with shower and coin operated laundry. RV rates cost $24 per night.

Honey Creek State Park

Horse Heaven Ranch

Horse Heaven Ranch is located at Horse Heaven Ranch Road in Talihina. It has 6 fully equipped luxury cabins with covered barns, 32 RV sites and RV motor homes. The ranch can accommodate big groups for birthdays, weddings, club functions and special events.

Other then this, an enlarged spleen does not automatically mean cancer. Did your vet give an iron clad diagnosis? An enlarged spleen could be caused by infection, stress, cancer, or a result of a traumatic experience — physically or biologically/medically. Have you shared with your vet the information on the flea infestation?

It’s awesome that your parents are letting you convert your brother’s old room into a lounge, and I think some of your ideas sound adorable, but you need to do a bit of fine-tuning. You want the room to be cute, but not cutesy.

A rich, chocolate brown paired with pale pink is actually one of my favorite color combinations, and I think it would be far lovelier to just have those two colors than to add in the blue. I would also reconsider painting the walls brown because it will make the room appear to be darker and smaller, and it tends to look very masculine on the wall, which sort of would be jarring when combined with pink stripes. Instead, I would look at a more neutral color, such a creamy, light pink. I’m not talking about little-girl pink, but a more refined pink like the “ribbon pink” or “french pink” you see on the links listed below.

If you really want to use brown, pink and blue, then I would paint the walls a clean, cloud white and fill the room with accent items in those colors. I’m a painter, and if I was designing a room with that color scheme I’d paint a mural of a cherry blossom branch with a bluebird resting on it to incorporate the pink, brown and blue. If you aren’t a muralist, then you could add design to the walls by placing artistic decals, or “wall tattoos” of cherry blossom branches polka dots, or something along those lines on them. That way, if you get tired of the design or color palette later on, you could simply remove the decals without having to repaint the entire room.

I think a white or stainless steel mini-refrigerator would look far more refined, and it would be one that you or your parents could still use for years to come, whereas you may tire of blue. As for the sofa, personally I would get a dark, chocolate-brown one that is resilient to stains, fits in your color scheme and has a lot of versatility. You could add polka dot and / or striped pillows as accents. If you really wanted colorful pieces of furniture, you could add in a few beanbags or “iChairs.” PB Teen has some really cute ones. Or you could use the pink chair….. but I wouldn’t pair that with a polka dot blue rug.

I would go for a solid color mini-table rather than a polka dot one, and put polka dot or striped pillows on the chairs. When I was redecorating my room, my stepmom’s sister, who is an interior designer, told me that the rule of thumb for decorating a teen space is to invest in more neutral “adult” furniture as the major pieces and then bring in color with the pillows, lampshades, rugs and the like that can all be easily replaced in a few years when your style has changed.

Your vet is right. Intestinal parasites are not pigmented so they tend to be white.

Flea larvae would also be white – and you shouldn’t be able to see them without a microscope. But if what you saw was little black unmoving specks, like ground pepper, that could be flea dirt. Flea dirt is really flea feces, and you can tell the difference between it and regular dirt by getting it wet and rubbing it on a white paper towel or tissue. Flea dirt makes red-brown smears from the blood content.

I don’t know what they are, but I suggest collecting some. Either scrape them into a container of alcohol or use clear tape (either packing tape or clear Scotch tape – don’t use the “magic” frosted-looking tape). Take them to your vet who can tell you if they are animal parasites. If they aren’t, take them to a local pest control expert, or entomology professor if you’re near a college.

Latex isn’t as long lasting as oil, but it has the advantage, as you say, of being quick drying which also means it’s very easy to touch up. You must use a paint that’s meant for floors, and you can use ones made for decks too, even though exterior paint tends to smell a bit more before it’s dry and has a few more VOCs than interior paint which really bothers some people. It doesn’t matter which kind of paint you put on a floor, they’re all going to show signs of wear eventually, especially with dogs walking around on them. A few throw rugs in high traffic areas will certainly mean that the floor gets walked on less but they have some disadvantages too.

I had a plywood floor for years, it was really the subfloor in new construction, and before I could afford the finished flooring I painted it with latex solid colour deck stain. It lasted remarkably well, and I had a large dog. I usually just slapped on another coat every couple of years.

I’d say your best bet is to sand or prime the floor(or both) properly to get good adhesion onto the oil coat, then paint two coats of floor paint. Proper prepping is important and is worth spending some time on. Then, once you have that done and the topcoats on, it will be a matter of touching it up when it starts to look worn and before the primer shows through. With latex, that’s easily done within a day. Use top quality paint, it’s well worth paying for with something like this.

Fixtures or pendant lights that emit bright lights bulbs set the room cheerful and lively. If there are dark corners on this part of the house, lamps whether ceiling or wall or customized for the floor serve their purposes.

Dining room is another place that needs the right lights. Fixtures with ceiling fans are the latest trends. They can hang exactly from where the dining table is located. If there is a long and wide cabinet near the dining room, or a mini- bar, customized fixtures and recessed lights suit well with them. Select the ceiling lights that have soft glow because they are friendly to the eyes and sets the right calming mood.

Whatever place you are renovating, bear in mind that some ceiling lights or fixtures can work only with specific bulbs. So before buying anything from the store, you need to consider the availability of the bulbs in case they need replacement.

You ask why, not for a detailed code explanation. Are these 50 watt floodlight bulbs low voltage? If so that would mean there is a transformer involved and a dimmer wouldn’t work well in that situation. As somebody else said, if they are fluorescent bulbs it takes a special dimmer and ballast to dim them. I would suggest just changing the dimmer switch out for a standard toggle switch.
